Aluminum
Can Recycling Program
What
is the can recycling program?
The can recycling program is a fun and easy way to become involved with
the Knoxville Ronald McDonald House. Individuals, corporations, schools,
and organizations can all take part in recycling and raising money for
the House.
How do I participate in the can
recycling program?
- Collect pop tabs & aluminum drink cans. Sorry, we cannot accept
food cans (soup, tuna, etc.).
- Drop off bags of cans at the House or have the cans recycled yourself
and send the money to the House.
- If mailing a donation, please note the individual or group collecting
the cans and provide a contacts mailing address so that we may
acknowledge your gift.
Make checks payable: Ronald McDonald House, 1705 West Clinch
Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916
- During 2007, over $6,000 was raised with this program. So you see,
when we "pull" together, we can make a difference!
What
about pop tabs?
Yes, we can accept them, but it only takes 36 cans to equal
a pound while it takes 1,250 tabs! Thats why we prefer receiving
the entire can.
Pop
Tab Measurement Equivalents
1 inch = 1 pop tab
